Naxos Routes

Upon collection of your rental vehicle you will be supplied with a free detailed map of the naxos island. We will suggest routes and some of the nicest spots on the island that you could visit.

1st naxos route:

Agios Georgios (St.George) - Agios Prokopios (St. Prokopios) - Agia Anna (Santa Anna) - Plaka

Starting from Saint George beach in Naxos Town (Chora), you head towards St. Prokopios, which expands for several kilometers and is considered one of the best sandy beaches of Greece. After Saint Prokopios or Agios Prokopios comes Santa Anna, another beautiful beach with several restaurants, coffee shops and bars. The beach after Santa Anna is called Plaka, a large area with bright blue water, where clothing is optional.

2nd naxos route:

Chora - Galini - Engares - Abram - Agia - Apollo

Starting from Chora (Naxos Capital) you go to the northeast side of island and toward the valley of Eggares with the green gardens of citrus trees. Here you meet the 4 settlements of Galini, Mytria, Mesi Geitonia and Langadia. Near the village Galini is the monastery of Ipsili, protected by a tower built in 1600 AD.
After Eggares is the monastery of Faneromeni, a 14th century construction, while continuing our promenade we come across coves and remote beaches. A favorite stop is the cove of Abram, where you can rest, swim and eat.
A few kilometers later you see the monastery of Agia built before the 1600s, and following the road you get to the cape Stavros.
At the end of the route is the cove of Apollo, an idyllic landscape. At the mountainside you see, the well known gigantic statue of Apollo (10.5 meters tall), created in the 7th century
